Dearest Mom,

you were a lovely, stubborn woman. i wouldn't have missed any of the time i've spent with you since you were first diagnosed with cancer. you taught me much about life as i was growing up. sometimes your lessons for me were hard and i hated them, but have always benefited from the knowledge learned. you told me much about the family and traditions and all sorts of things during the past year. you made me make many promises, some hard, some easy. all will be done in honor of you. you then taught me how to die with peace and dignity and surrounded by family. you were a strong woman, i've always known that. i didn't know just how strong until it was time for you to leave me. you left me too soon but i will do my best to step into your shoes as head of our female line. you told me i was ready, that i'm strong enough. i will do my best for you.

blessings to you, Mom.
please haunt me.
hugs,
Lisa Sally

i want to thank all of you that have posted condolences, thoughts, prayers and blessings.
